For nearly 10 years, the Lincoln Navigator had the same basic body design – and while it was a well-designed car, it was in need of a serious design refresh. And in 2017, Lincoln revealed the first redesign of the new 2018 Lincoln Navigator.
The old Lincoln Navigator was based on the Ford Expedition, and was the luxury counterpart to that full-size SUV. However, the new 2018 Lincoln Navigator has been completely redesigned. It’s now roomier, more powerful, and offers a luxury experience that’s on-par with competing luxury SUVs like the Cadillac Escalade.

Aggressive Exterior Styling With A Comfortable Interior
The previous iteration of the Lincoln Navigator was quite subdued. It followed the body design of the Ford Explorer quite closely, without too much stylistic deviation.
However, the 2018 Lincoln Navigator has completely changed this – offering a unique design that’s built on its own chassis, designed to be lighter in weight and more luxurious than the Expedition.
This focus on luxury is clear from the body design of the 2018 Lincoln Navigator. An aggressive front grille is flanked by bright LED running lights, and the entire body of the vehicle has been streamlined to be more aerodynamic and aesthetically-pleasing.
The Navigator is also available with up to 24-inch wheels, allowing it to have a higher, more imposing exterior profile.
The interior has not been overlooked, either. Like most modern Lincoln vehicles, the interior of the Lincoln Navigator has been built to provide a luxurious, natural feeling to drivers. Emphasis is placed on leather and wood, with metal accents used sparingly to augment these more natural materials.
Large And Comfortable For Up To 8 Passengers
The interior of this full-size SUV is exceptionally roomy. Up to 8 passengers can be carried with second and third-row bench seating – and even when all 8 seats are occupied, the vehicle still feels quite roomy.
In addition, passengers benefit from a full suite of amenities such as cupholders, USB chargers, and other features that are usually reserved for the driver’s seat and passenger seat.
If desired, both rows of seats can be lowered automatically using power folding technology, allowing the 2018 Lincoln Navigator to haul a tremendous amount of cargo. Storage space comes in at a massive 103.3 cubic feet with all seats folded down – blowing competitors like the Cadillac Escalade out of the water.
Powerful, Convenient Technological Features
The new 2018 Lincoln Navigator features a large, touchscreen-enabled multimedia center, powered by Lincoln Connect technology.
A heads-up-display is also available, which projects important information directly onto your windscreen – ensuring you stay safe and keep your eyes on the road while driving.
The 2018 Lincoln Navigator also focuses on driver safety technology. A few available safety features include lane keep assist technology, speed-sensitive LED headlamps, adaptive cruise control, cross-traffic alerts, and assistive brakes which can help you react more quickly in an emergency situation.
