One of our favorite local bakeries is the Honeybee Sweetery. They focus on making delicious gourmet European baked goods with something for everyone. Come by and try one of their yogurt muffins in flavors such as red velvet, iced lemon, and berry blast. They also make fresh cookies including macadamia nut, peanut butter, and chocolate chip daily. 2. Sweet Rustic Bake Shop
No matter what kind of dessert mood you're in, you can feed it at the Sweet Rustic Bake Shop. Enjoy a new housemade pop tart every day of the week with flavors such as strawberry and apple pie. They also have other delicious items such as their Brookie Bar with a brownie on the bottom and a chocolate chip cookie on top, as well as the Pain au Chocolat topped with powdered sugar. 3. Angelo Elia The Bakery Bar
Angelo Elia The Bakery Bar is another great spot to fix that sweet tooth of yours. This unique eatery has authentic Italian breakfast pastries that have been passed down through generations of bakers. Stop here and grab a croissant along with your favorite coffee to help make any day that much better. Bring the kids along and let them try the traditional gelato, then grab some of their freshly made loaves of bread to take home for dinner. They are located at 2104 E. Oakland Park Blvd.
4. Nanou French Bakery and Cafe
Another one of our favorite bakery hot spots is the Nanou French Bakery and Cafe. They focus on French-inspired cakes, pastries, and loaves of bread. Every little thing on their menu is absolutely delicious. Try some of their specialties such as the Nutella croissant, Nutella crepe with banana or strawberry, or even one of their macarons for just a little sample of something sweet. Don't forget to try one of their house coffees such as their Nanouccino with espresso, praline, whipped cream, and your favorite topping. Nanou French Bakery is located at 2915 E. Las Olas Blvd.
5. We Take the Cake
We Take the Cake is a popular local bakery that has been serving the area some delicious cakes for almost thirty years. They have several styles of cakes in a variety of cake and icing flavors, specialized birthday cakes, and even freshly made bundt cakes. They are located at 1211 N.E. Ninth Ave.
