AVIATOR VS MDX

Lincoln Aviator vs. Acura MDX

At Pines Lincoln, we love the versatility and capability the Lincoln Aviator has to offer Pembroke Pines drivers. We understand many of our Miami clients are looking for that wow factor so they can cruise in style. The Lincoln Aviator is not just a functional people mover, but it is also a statement piece that satisfies the desire for luxury while providing a comfortable ride.

The Lincoln Aviator's close rival in the luxury mid-sized SUV segment is the Acura MDX.While both feature similar engines and technology features, the Lincoln brand's commitment to driver comfort and luxury features outshines the more sporty-centered look of the Acura MDX. The Lincoln Aviator offers more space and luxury appointments that truly deliver all the upscale features to impress the modern family.

Spacious Cabin Interior and Luxury Appointments

The Lincoln Aviator has slightly larger dimensions than the MDX, a difference that is apparent when sitting in the second or third row of each vehicle. While still offering the maneuverability of a mid-sized SUV, the Aviator translates its larger body dimensions into more passenger space within the cabin. You'll notice more overhead and legroom in the Aviator and increased cargo space with the third row's better accommodations. The Aviator also allows a five or seven-seat configuration with second-row captain's chairs. The third row is easier to access in the five-seat configuration, and more comfort features are available, like power seat adjustments and heated seats.

Lincoln Aviator Intuitive Technology Features

Inside, the Lincoln Aviator is equipped with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment control center. While the MDX offers a larger screen, the display has a center-console-mounted touchpad that is very difficult to use. The infotainment screen on the Aviator offers a single screen that is much easier and intuitive to use. Enjoy all the connected features like Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, satellite radio, and Wi-Fi hotspot with less driver distraction.

The interior space in the Lincoln Aviator was measured and fine tuned by audio engineers to create a space with superior audio engineering. The highest-level Ultima 3D audio system features 28 speakers for immersive sound quality. In comparison, the Acura MDX has a 16-speaker configuration to offer its highest tier model.

You'll also get the most out of all the Lincoln's intuitive technology with the Lincoln WayTM App. Not only do you get access to all the concierge features that makes Lincoln ownership a luxury experience, you can use the app as a car key and start button. Enjoy freedom from the key fob with the latest technology fit for the modern driver.

Superior Engine Performance and Ride Feel

The Lincoln Aviator comes standard with one of the most powerful engines in the mid-size luxury SUV segment. The twin-turbo 3.0-liter V-6 standard engine provides up to 400 horsepower paired with the ultra-smooth 10-speed automatic transmission. The Aviator delivers smooth cruising and responsive acceleration. You can also go further on one tank of gas with the capacity to hold 20.2 gallons versus the MDX's smaller 18.5-gallon tank.

For even more power, the optional hybrid engine combines the standard V-6 engine with a 100-horsepower electric motor for a boost up to 494 horsepower. You have to pay more for less on the Acura MDX, which can only deliver up to 355 horsepower with the turbocharged 3.0-liter V-6 engine on the Type S trim level. The Aviator's more robust engine and heavier frame allow for up to 6,700 pounds of trailer towing capacity, far exceeding the MDX's 3,500-pound capacity. While the MDX offers a more driver-centric experience, the Lincoln Aviator offers a more serene driving experience geared toward comfort.

Lincoln Aviator's Additional Standard Features

The Lincoln Aviator also includes a full suite of the most advanced standard safety features with the Co-Pilot360 system. You'll also enjoy the convenience of automatic high-beam headlamps, blind spot information, and cross traffic alert system with automatic braking.

Lincoln Aviator Additional Safety Features:

  • Adaptive Pixel LED Headlamps
  • Phone As A Key Technology
  • Active Park Assist 2.0

Another feature you may not think of when it comes to safety is the unique Auto Air Refresh you can add to the Lincoln Aviator. The unique active air monitoring system ensures safe and odor-free air quality by filtering out harmful particulate matter like dust, smoke, smog, pollen, and other allergens. Auto Air Refresh is another detail that adds to your comfort while enjoying the serene cabin experience in a Lincoln.

There is a lot to love from the more upscale look and comfort of the Lincoln Aviator. Compared to the MDX, you'll also love additional standard features like remote engine start, remote trunk release, rain-sensing wipers, and power-folding mirrors. When it comes to luxury style and ride comfort, the Lincoln Aviator far exceeds the competition.

We have a great selection of new Lincoln Aviator models at our location near Fort Lauderdale and Hollywood. The MDX can't compare to the signature style the Lincoln Aviator has to offer.
